ri ANC Express (formerly ANC Parcels) Is part of the ANC Group established In 1981, and its main depot is at Newcastle-under-Lyme, with a southern hub at Bedford. It's a franchised business whose main focus is express parcel delivery and the 215-strong tractor fleet, and 300 trailers, are plated at 28 tonnes and 32 tonnes. There are a few at 38 and 40 tonnes, and several 6x2s which run collections with double-deck trailers at 44 tonnes, but these are the exceptions.
The tractor fleet is mixed, with the trailers supplied by Montracon, CarhyrIght or Lawrence David. ANC Express centres on contract hire on three, four and sometimes live-year deals with repair and maintenance part of the package. There is an In-house maintenance shop for the day-to-day superficial and cosmetic repairs, and contracted tyre replacements.
