Transport company of Jamaica represents the first Dodge-Plaxton combination to be built for many years. Based on the new 190-in.-wheelbase chassis manufactured by Dodge Bros. (Britain) Ltd., and first introduced at the Commercial Motor Show in 1962, the coach has bodywork by:Plaxtons (Scarborough) Ltd.
An .interesting feature of the 30-seat body, which is basically the Embassy design,. is the provision of an, inwardopening entrance door ahead of the front axle and a separate centrally positioned sliding exit door. Although top sliders are fitted to all side windows, the vehicle is equipped with a full Smith's refriger ated pressure ventilation system. Heat insulation in the form of glass-fibre quilts between the inner and outer roof panels is also Provided, and full draw ciiriains are fitted to all saloon windows.
