ATRANSPORT/LAND use survey üf the Glasgow conurbatIon area, and a study of Perth were announced last week by Mr. Michael Noble, the Scottish Secretary. Both would start soon, he told M.P.s.
Apart from providing the groundwork for the revision of development plans for both areas in the light of the Buchanan Report, these studies would provide material on the techniques of planning surveys, and on the principles of planning which would be of great value to other authorities, said Mr. Noble.
