Mr. Stanley Armstrong, who joined the company in 1954, has been made commercial director: Previously he held the position of chief accountant. Mr. Walter Elliott, formerly production manager, becomes works director. He has been with Laycock since 1936. Mr. Howard G. Smyth, who becomes personnel director, joined the company as personnel manager in 1959 from the Phosphor Bronze Co. Ltd., another Birfield subsidiary.

Mr. Frank rmsdale, formerly with Mercedes-Benz (Gt. Britain) Ltd. as general sales manager (commercial and diesel engine division), has been appointed general sales manager of Duple Motor Bodies Ltd.
