Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

a low platform is now being manufactured by Charles Pitt (Barton Stacey) Ltd. The height of the platform at the rear is 3 ft. 2 in. and at the front 4 ft. 2 in., •this being made possible by using 8.25-15 tyres for the single axle.

The Low-Level Foreload operates on a similar principle to the earlier model, the landing legs being hinged and powered by hydraulic rams connected to them at the rear to raise and lower the

front end of the semi-trailer. Hydraulic power is supplied by a B.S.A. 400 c.c. petrol engine which drives an hydraulic pump and the rams operate at a pressure of 2,000 p.s.i. The headboard of the unit acts as a loading ramp.

The pressed-steel channel-section main members of the semi-trailer are at the sides of the platform and these carry hinged brackets which support 6-in.-wide boards to give the trailer an extra I ft. overall width above the standard 7 ft. 6 in. Standard length is 26 ft.
