• In CM's 17-23 March Keep It Legal wallchart on Special Types we showed a photograph of a Scania RI 43-450M twinsteer operated by Ovenden plant hire. It should be noted that the vehicle was posed for photography and not operating under Special Types, or with the load shown. We regret any confusion. RI 43M 6x2 twin-steer and tag-axle tractors can operate on Special Types up to 66 tonnes GCW—for higher axle loading and GCWs the Scania RI 43H 6x4 chassis offers greater operating flexibility. Operators should always check that the load to be carried is compatible with Special Types axle and GCW ratings.
