Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Specialist vehicle builder Reliance Mercury of Halifax has added a 19.6-tonne GCW urban artic version to the Leyland Daf Freighter range.

Based on the 12.5-tonne Leyland Daf 13.16, the chassis has been re-engineered to a 2.5m wheelbase, with Dunlop • air suspension and 245/70 low profile tyres on 19.5in wheels.

With shallower spring seatings, this gives a coupling height of 990mm — similar to that of current 16.5-tonne artics. The conversion, which costs around £5,900, gives an unladen weight of 3,780kg, says Reliance.

Axle ratings are 4.12 tonnes at the front and 7.8 tonnes at the rear: 0.88 and 0.84 tonnes above their design weights.
