• Renault Vehicules Industriers equipment division has signed a contract to deliver 3,500 logistic transport vehicles to the French army.
The Renault G290 6x4 rigid will be supplied complete with Lohr trailers and Marrel hydraulic loading equipment to carry payloads of up to 13 tonnes.
Powered by MIDR 06-20-45 six-cylinder charge-cooled diesel engine rated at 214kW the drawbar combination has a top speed of 801rm/h and a gradeability of 15% (1 in 6.6).
The first phase of 414 vehicles is due to be delivered starting in September at a rate of 64 per month.
