Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

MUCH ingenuity has been devoted to the problem of pallet loading in vehicles. Duramin Engineering Co. Ltd., Stonefield Way, Ruislip, Middx., make two systems, both utilizing the pneumatic lifting principle. Palletaire is a narrow wheeled trolley the length of a pallet running on two simple, unobtrusive guide rails. A built-in air-operated lifting mechanism controlled by a pedal enables the operator to elevate the pallet clear of the vehicle floor and move it into position. When the air is exhausted the pallet is lowered smoothly to rest on the firm base and the trolley is freed for the next load. For unloading, the procedure is reversed. The air reservoir on the Palletaire trolley is charged by compressed air supply line in the warehouse, but the trolley lifting mechanism operates anywhere without any necessity for the air line to be attached at the moment of operation.

Aerola utilizes pneumatically-elevated roller tracks housed in channels recessed into the vehicle floor. The rollers are elevated

above floor level by compressed air from the brake pressure reservoir or other source. One-ton pallet loads roll smoothly on the elevated rollers and when the air is exhausted the pallets are gently lowered on to the floor. Pallets carrying 1 ton require an air pressure of 35-45 lb. per sq. in. but heavier loads may be lifted if required. Prices of
