50,000 MILES A MONTH WITH THE LONG, THE SHORT AND THE TALL (w. W. J. Watts, Manager Heavy Haulage Division)
HaIlet and Silbermann Ltd., Watford, have a fleet of 26 specially constructed vehicles and specialize in the transportation of abnormal loads varying from 4-65 tons. This load was taken from Croydon to Hull in 4 days — considered a fast trip, because there were no mechanical or tyre troubles.
