Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

BASED on the Unimog 406 all-purpose vehicle, a Unimog Road-Railer was demonstrated for the first time last week by the makers, MercedesBenz (Great Britain) Ltd., Great West Road. Brentford, Middlesex. at the Burton-on-Trent brewery of Bass, Mitchells and Butlers Ltd. Special rubber-tyred flanged wheels are fitted to the Road-Railer for conversion from a road tractor to light locomotive and the vehicle is powered by a six-cylinder diesel developing 82 b.h.p. The machine is of the four-wheel-drive type and differential locks are incorporated in both axles. A gearbox having eight forward and four reverse gears replaces the standard sixspeed gearbox.

As a shunter, the Road-Railer can haul loads up to 300 tons on the level and on gradients of up to 40 per cent it can deal with loads of 40 tons. A built-in hydraulic system enables the machine to "jack itself up" to provide for a quick change over from road to rail use and for rotation through 180 degrees.
