FivE Bristol RESL single-deckers with A. Eastern Coach Works dual entrance bodies are to be introduced in September by Leicester City Transport on the new centre circle service which began operation on February 20.
The buses form part of the plans for buildingup this new service, introduced to combine the advantages of park-and-ride with a link-up at such points as the railway station and the city centre.
An experimental park-and-ride service linked Welford Road car park to the south of the city with the central area in a trial conducted before Christmas (COMMERCIAL MOTOR, December 16) and the new service passes this park.
Later in the summer it is planned to run the service into the car park.
