Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

in the road transport industry, and what is the range of fees charged?

AYes, there is certainly scope. Large

transport organizations have already made use of consultancy services. There is a real need for general management expertise in road transport organizations with fleets of around 20 to 100 vehicles, as the larger firms normally employ professionally qualified managers

Specialized consultancy services geared to the needs of small businesses are growing both in London and provincial cities. The large, well-established consultancy organization has substantial overhead costs. Many operate training courses for their own staff, and clients would be charged fees on the basis of £200 to £300 per week per consultant employed full-time on an assignment.

Provincially based consultancy services charging more modest fees are likely to interest many road transport firms and the fees charged would depend on the scope of the assignment. Some small firms of consultants will undertake a preliminary investigation for a fee of £50 or so. with a further charge of, say, £500 or £1,000 for full implementation of their recommendation.
