Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

QTRONG objection from independents and the B.T.C. to an application by R. G. Tait and Sons, Haydon Bridge, to switch nine vehicles from contract to their public A licence was withdrawn at Newcastle on Tuesday after agreement to substitute it by an application for a sixvehicle switch to B licence.

Mr. T. H. Campbell Wardlaw, for Tait, said the conditions agreed were "Goods for the Steetley Co., Ltd., and G. A. Cook, Ltd., within the six Northern Counties and Southern Scotland." Contract vehicles with the two named companies would be reduced to one each and no application for increase would be made without notice to the objectors.

The Northern Licensing Authority accepted the agreement and the inquiry was adjourned pending publication of the application for a new B licence.
