Highest Monthly Total for Nine Months

REGISTRATIONS of new commercial vehicles in January, at 27,184, represented a good start for the year, the figure being the highest monthly total since March, 1960. The total of new goods•vehicles showed a striking advance from 16.248 last December, to 20,822, in the first month of this year. In comparison with January, 1960, however,

new registrations have shown little fluctuation, the total in the opening month of 1960 being 26,950, this figure being the highest for more than two years. Other details appear in the accompanying table.
