Victoria bus station, the capital's busiest bus terminus. The steel tower, familiar to Londoners for over 20 years, has been demolished. Erected in 1927, it was the control centre for a system of coloured-light signals on the posts at the head of the five loading platforms. This system has been abandoned and the lamps removed. (-1
