Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

IT SEEMS seem that Transport for London (TfL)'s low-emission zone has ruffled a few feathers, much as my heavy smoking habit upsets my quack. So many people are concerned with what we are doing to our lungs.

Recently, well last year, Radio 4 on the BBC (so it must be true), featured a programme that concerned both issues, and very interesting it was indeed.

A typical non-smoking interviewer went among trainee surgeons as they practised on cadavers. The interviewer was continually asking the trainees if they saw a great deal of damage from smoking and I was as shocked as they obviously were.

The trainee surgeons stated that they could not tell the difference between the lungs of a heavy smoker and someone who lived in a polluted inner city, which would seem to support TfUs efforts with the lowemission zone.

But I know we are a caring industry, considerate of our fellow man, and I trust my industry will join me in bringing to the necessary ears, ie the government, the health and safety lot and our local MPs, our concern for all those operatives working in the poisonous atmosphere of the multitude of toll booths dotted around the countryWhat massive damage is being done to the health of those manning the toll booths at the Dartford crossing, the Severn, the Forth, the M6 toll road, etc?

Let us, a caring industry, through our trade associations, our unions and our MPs, demand that the government immediately remove all tolls from all crossings and all routes, in the interest of health and safety.

lam positive that PT and Ken Livingstone will be battling with us all the way.

Why should Londoners or any other citizens benefit from clean air while workers are being put in extreme danger through pollution just to collect a few measly pence? I have already contacted my MP— we'll see.
