ROAD NEWS
MORE MI CHAOS • Beware the M1 between junctions 23 (Loughborough) and 24 (Kegworth) in Leicestershire. The 9km stretch will be completely closed for a weeked — from midnight on Friday 21 September to 05:00hrs on Monday 24 September.
Southbound traffic will be diverted off the motorway at junction 24, along the A6 through Kegworth and Hathern to Loughborough and then on to the A6004 and A512 to rejoin the MI at junction 23. Northbound traffic will use the same route in the opposite direction. The diversion will be about 15km long.
An alternative northbound route will be signposted for motorists who leave the motorway at junction 22.
