• Sutton and Sons (St. Helensl Ltd. has been granted two applications in a written decision given by the North Western LA. Mr. C. R. Hodgson.

The applications were heard in Liverpool and Manchester on May 3 and June 28 respectively. The first was for 10 four-wheeled vehicles with a gross unladen weight of 37 tons 8cwt to replace five eight-wheeled vehicles with a gross unladen weight of 571 tons: the second was to replace three articulated vehicles with a total carrying capacity of 604 tons with six vehicles of 344tons unladen weight.
