ANEW Vista luxury coach and a new service bus were announced this week by Duple Motor Bodies, Ltd. Both vehicles are available in 8-ft. or 7-ft. 6-in, widths, and deliveries are planned to start early next month.

The 29-seat Vista is a forwardcontrol vehicle based on the Bedford 4-ton chassis, extended and modified to conform with the requirements for public service vehicles. With petrol engine the coach will cost £2,630. The oiler will cost £2,835.

Framing is of Duple composite lightweight type, reinforced at all stressed points. Exterior panelling is in aluminium. A hinged Perspex light and extractor-ventilator is incorporated in the roof. The driver's seat has vertical as well as horizontal adjustment. A 67-cu.-ft. baggage locker is fitted at the rear of the coach.

The new service bus, which has 30 seats, is built of metal throughout. The frame and nearly all the double skin are of steel, whilst a few panel sections are of aluminium. It is priced at £2,455 with a petrol engine, and 12,660 with an oil engine. The entrance door is of the two-panel folding type, and seats are of steel tube.

Standard equipment includes two air extractors in the roof and intakes over the windscreen.

An export version of this model, with slightly modified specification, will be available at £2,480 (petrol) and £2,685 (oil).
