Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

NORTH WALES operator McCarthy's Haulage recently played host to a safety day staged in Wrexham by the Health & Safety Executive.

Managing director Mike McCarthy says the HSE approached him both because the

firm had a suitable yard and because its vehicles were already fitted with reversing cameras.

He adds: "We knew about reversing cameras, but we learned a lot we didn't know about other safety systems and advice on how to keep pedestrians away from trucks and trucks away from pedestrians, which clearly helps safety."

Jenny Prendergast, chair of the North Wales local authority health and safely task group, reports that by working with local authorities the HSE has been able to reach many more companies.
