CARRIED AWAY BY LANCER BOSS • A pedestrian-controlled transporter for pallets has beer designed by Bedfordshirebased Lancer Boss, The WT15 has a carrying capacity of 1.5-tonnes and it is aimed at general pallet and handling work. It has a turning radius of 1.3m and is powered by a 24-volt traction battery.

Safety features include an emergency pad on the control handle, which automatically reverses the direction of the transporter if the driver is threatened with being pinned against obstacles, and a contro: arm which returns to vertical when released.

SMALLER SEAL FROM ENCRYPTA • Encrypta Electronics of Wales, which was co-winner oi a BBC Radio 4 award for small businesses, has launched a mir version of its award-winning lorry door seal for roll pallets, safes and refrigerated stores.

Called MicroSeal, it records the time of each door opening and can store information on the last 50 openings.

The mini system measures 75mm x 55mm x 20mm and weighs 100g. It comes with a long-life lithium battery and thE company claims it is impact resistant, water-proof and tamper-proof.
