IN JUST under three weeks since the last round of diesel price increases (CM September 22), the major oil companies have announced another rise of five pence a gallon.
Esso, Mobil, Shell and BP have all increased the price of commercial, bulk delivery, dery by the same amount as the last increase. This means that since the middle of September commercial dery has risen by over 10p.
Retail dery has been increased to not less than 177.8p by Esso. While other oil companies have not increased retail dery prices this time, rises can be expected.
The further weakening of the pound is blamed.
