THE TREND towards dealer-converted hatchback vans continues with two more models based on the Vauxhall Nova and the Fiat Panda 45, now available in the UK.

Although similar to the CowNova van is £3,299, while a 1.2 ley and Wilson Nova Nobel (CM, July 28), the Nova van produced by Great Western Motors of Reading, is claimed to be the only van based on the Novacar which carries full National Type Approval.

It is available with either one or 1.2 litre petrol engines and an optional five-speed gearbox. The 1,225kg (23.93cwt) gvw van has a payload of 4 0 5kg (7.97cwt) without driver on board, and a load volume of around 1.28cum (46cuft).

Price for the GWM one-litre litre model retails at £3,489. Both prices exclude vat.

The 1,168kg (23cwt) gvw Panda van is based on the Panda 45 Comfort hatchback, and is converted by Colmore, the Birmingham-based Fiat main dealer.

Payload is 440kg (8.66cwt) without driver on board and load volume is 1.0 7cum (38.4cuft).

The 2.16m (7.1ft) wheelbase van conversion is also type approved and costs £2,780 plus vat.
