PORTUGUESE coachbuilder Salvador Gaetano of Oporto — now part-owned by Toyota — has confirmed that its newly established subsidiary, Salvador Caetano (UK) will act as importer for its coach and bus range (CM, September 29).
The new company is completpects to open towards the end ing negotiations to acquire of October.

Caetano coachwork is still expected to be supplied by the Moseley Group which becomes the sole UK concessionaire for Salvador Caetano (UK).
In Portugal, Salvador Caetano concentrates is activities in two main factories. The main coachbuilding activity is at the company office complex at Vila Nova de Gaia. in addition to its Algarve range trolley buses and coaches are produced.
Caetano is the Toyota importer and distributor for Portugal and assembles the full range of Toyota light commercial vehicles. It also imports or assembles Pegaso, iveco, MAN and BMW products.
A Caetano midicoach marketed by Toyota and based on Toyata components is to be launched in Britain at the Motor Show. A low driving position lowheight day touring coach built on a Volvo B1OM chassis together with normal height and high floor Algarve coaches on Daf MB200 and Volvo B1OM chassis will also be exhibited on the Caetano stand.
