Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Cummins L10

CUMMINS has introduced a horizontal version of its LT10 turbocharged engine already used by a growing number of bus and coach manufacturers in upright form.

The horizontal LT10 engine is to be available in the same three ratings as the vertical L10 models — 180, 250, and 290bhp (134, 186 and 216kW). The most powerful 290bhp engine is aftercooled in addition to being turbocharged.

Engineering changes made to produce the new version are based on a cylinder block laid over 86 degrees from vertical. The fuel pump is positioned on the engine's top surface.

The major parts difference from the vertical engine includes a new split cast iron gear cover. This incorporates drives for the camshaft, fuel system, air compressor, lubrication, water and hydraulic pumps, A scavenger type oil pump is fitted to suit the unit's dry sump configuration.
