Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A good Finnish

A SIX-AXLE 22m double tipper is being used on aggregates haulage in Finland.

The tipper body on the lorry is standard, except for a central rail. The body on the trailer can be hauled along the rail on to the lorry, using hydraulics. So only one tipping mechanism is used for two loads.

Running through the procedure for unloading: the drawbar arrives on site, and disengages the trailer. The rigid then tips. Having done that, it re-engages the trailer, hydraulic pipes are connected and the body is drawn forward. The lorry then disengages again from the trailer for the second tipping. A lock on the front prevents it from sliding off.

Finally, the driver re-engages the truck to the trailer, moves the second body back, disengages the hydraulics and drives off. It makes sense when you are allowed to carry 48 tonnes.

The truck body's tailgate is worked hydraulically, and can be operated from the cab — particularly useful in severe Finnish winters.

The lorry is fitted with a Robson drive for converting a 6x2 to a 6x4, again very popular among tipper hauliers in Finland. It also uses the heat from the exhaust gases to prevent icing on the bottom of the body.
