ALEX TROTMAN has moved up within the Ford Motor Company to president of Ford of Europe. Previously he was president for Ford Asia-Pacific and based in Australia.
Mr Trotman joined Ford in 1955 and has held the positions of manager of car product planning, Ford of Britain (196667). director of car product planning, Ford of Europe (196769) and chief car planning manager of North American automotive operation (1975-77). From 1978-79 he progressed to its assistant general manager.
He returned to Europe in 1979 as vice-president truck operations, Ford of Europe, where he dealt with the manufacturing and launching of the Ford Cargo lorry range, before moving to president of Ford Asia-Pacific.
