Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

FOLLOWING THE announcement earlier this year of improved warranty terms for all Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicles sold in the UK, the company has introduced further optional cover against mechanical breakdown — extending beyond the standard 12 month warranty period.

Mercedes-Benz (UK) has put together two new truck and van mechanical breakdown insurance packages in collaboration with London Wall Insurance Services, The extent and comprehensiveness of the cover provided, in relation to the premiums, is further evidence of Mercedes-Benz confidence in the reliability of its commercial vehicles now being sold in the UK.

Package A provides additional cover for the second year of the vehicle's life, complimenting the existing warranty.

Package B provides the same additional cover for the vehicle's second year, plus the full package during the third year in service.

There is no mileage limit affecting this mechanical breakdown cover. Neither is there any limit to the amount or the number of claims made in respect of the insured components, althouEh the value of recovery cost claims is limited to £300 per recovery.

Under both schemes the cost of hiring a replacement vehicle is covered up to the value of £200 for models up to the L608D, £400 for heavier rigids and £500 for artic tractors. The number of such claims is not restricted.

Insurance has to be applied for on delivery of the vehicle although, for an introductory period, the scheme is available to all those whose new Mercedes vehicles have been registered since May 1984.

Full details are available from your nearest Mercedes-Benz dealer. See page 28.
