BY THE end of December a new company, Trailerent Ltd, will have a fleet of over 300 trailers in the field of trailer rentals, contract hire and finance. And this is expected to rise to 550 by the end of its first year of operation.
The new company has financial backing from National Car Parks.
At the official launch, Sir John Treacher, chairman. declared: "A new force has entered trailer rentals. We aim to take trouble to give customers what they want and carve ourselves a substantial section of this competitive market. We are determined to go nationwide with depots, and to expand into Europe' Trailerent will be the largest national British company in the market, and unlike other major rental operations, will be independent of either trailer manufacturers or American controlled companies.
Trailerent already has depots in Rainham and Slough and another is opening shortly to serve the Midlands.
