Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Tasktip is lightweight

A NEW lightweight Tasktip body, that will reduce the tare_ weight for eight-wheelers, is to be unveiled by Craven Tasker (Woodville) Ltd at the Commercial Motor Show.

The light alloy extruded section used for the top and bottom rails and cross-bearers have been re-designed. The top rail is much deeper and consequently stronger giving better protection against impact damage. Each body panel is completely clear making a suitable surface for sign writing.

In this instance the body will be mounted on a Leyland Octopus eight-wheeler chassis offering a capacity of 16cum (22cuyd) thereby increasing the payload for operators in the aggregate field where limited height for the body is about four feet.

From the same group Craven Tasker (Andover) Ltd has produced a trailer module which can be joined with other modules to suit heavy carrying capacity requirements. The first example to be seen in public will also be at this year's Show.

Each unit comprises four lines of axles, each consisting of two oscillating axles of 14ton capacity, fitted with cam brakes and twin tyres. Suspension arms with hydraulic rams compensate for changes in load between axles.

Separate vertical height adjustment is provided at each wheel allowing 300mm (12in) movement above and below normal travelling height.

All the axles are pivoted and connected mechanically to the steering assembly.

An air cooled petrol engine power pack drives an hydraulic pump providing power to steer the modules individually, independent of the mechanical steering assembly.

Another new exhibit will be a 45 ton low loading semitrailer equipped with a Tasklift hydraulic neck. This is an extension to the range of the LB series introduced last year. The hydraulic swan neck facilitates one man operation for loading and unloading. With a bed length of 10.3m (34ft) including the beavertail at the rear this tandem axle trailer has an overall width of 2.9m (aft 6in) which can be extended to 3.5m (lift 6in) using side hinged extensions.
