Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Crane Fruehauf Trailers Ltd has introduced two new tandem-axle coil carriers featuring a standardized chassis designed to accommodate either V or radius wells.

Model PCV — 32/F2E with V well is offered as standard, and PCR — 32 /F2E (radius well) is available as an optional alternative to meet operators' particular requirements.

Both coil carriers are 36ft long overall and of heavy-duty construction. Main members are fabricated I-beams, 10in. and 17in. deep at the neck and belly respectively, with 6in. flanges. The wells have an overall length of 25ft 1 lfin.

With a 21/22 tons payload, the standardized chassis has been fitted with a

new thin floor to operate at minimum possible tare weights. Half-lapped hardwood of tin. thickness is provided as a standard deck specification for loads, such as steel sheets, which are distributed over the platform area. A liin. thick floor is offered as an option, providing extra capability when variable loading requirements are likely.

Plated for use at 27.25 tons, an operational benefit includes a maximum gvw combination of 32 tons gross when used with either a twoor three-axled tractive unit. Loading and unloading operations for the 8ft 24in. wide vehicles are facilitated by the inclusion of slots in the raves to accommodate steel load securing bands.
