Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Garrett AiResearch, which opened a new factory at Skelmersdale, Lancashire, last year to produce diesel engine turbochargers, is currently supplying its smallest unit, the TO4B, to Scania.

The TO4B has a single-entry turbine housing to cater for the three separate cylinder heads which each have "siamese" exhaust ports. As in all AiResearch T0413 turbochargers now produced, the piston ring at the turbine end is located by a "stepbore" which eliminates wear particularly when an exhaust brake is operating.

The journal bearings are fully-floating

types made of lead bronze and the thrust bearing is of a unique taper-land design giving high mechanical efficiency, load capacity and long wear. The turbine wheel, which is inertia-welded onto the steel shaft, is made from high-strength, heat-resisting alloy.
