The drawing shows the body both in its normal position (I) and in its elevated position (2) in which it reaches the loading hatch (3) of the aircraft. The body is raised by a mechanism (4) which is operated hydraulically.
Chief point of the patent is the provision of an extensible ramp (5). This is power operated and is long enough to reach inside the aircraft. Controls are provided both in the driver's cab arid on an extension, able to he operated from inside the hatch. Safety switches are incorporated to make it impossible to lower the ramp while it is inside the air. craft.
