Owing, it is stated, to a scarcity of railway rolling stock and to the increasing use of commercial motor vehicles in •the country, it is reported that a number of German locomotive and engineering works are following the example of Krupps and building motor trucks. Amongst the concerns of this kind which have lately become interested in this branch of activity are the Kraus Locomotive Works of Munich, who
are said to be working under a licence from the Swiss Berne. Co., the Henschel and Sohn Locomotive Works of Cassel, and the Madgeburg Werkzeugmaschinen Gesellschaft of 14Tadgeburg.
