• Claims for holiday pay and bonuses brought by Pontardulais lorry driver William Dodge against Swansea based DP Transport, were rejected by a Cardiff Industrial Tribunal but it ordered the firm to pay Dodge £116 in sick pay.

• Though granting Wallace Wholesale permission to move its operating centre for three vehicles to Mitcham despite representations from neighbouring residents, South Eastern and Metropolitan TC Brigadier Michael Turner has limited vehicle size and the times of operation. He also banned maintenance at the site, reversing in or out and parking in an adjacent road.
Pidgley appeals
• Walton-on-Thames haulier Alan Pidgley has appealed to the Transport Tribunal against the revocation of his licence and two-year disqualification order made by South Eastern and Metropolitan TC Brigadier Michael Turner (CM 30 Oct-5 Nov). The Commissioner concluded Pidgley had lied about the use of a prohibited vehicle.
• Isle of Lewis-based Sinclair McLeod & Co was given a formal warning about the company's future maintenance standards when it appeared at a Stornoway disciplinary inquiry.
