MR. WILLIS LONGWORTH, who has been assistant engineer of Bolton Transport Department since 1956, has been appointed to a similar position with the Trent Motor Traction Co., Ltd.
MR. L. B. MIDDLETON has been appointed transport executive officer of T. Wall and Sons (Ice Cream), Ltd. He will be responsible for the purchase and maintenance of all vehicles used by the company.
MR. R. E. H. BRAITHWAITE, assistant engineer of the East Kent Road Car Co., Ltd., has been appointed chief engineer of the Yorkshire Traction Co., Ltd. He takes the place of MR. J. M. BARRY on January 1, MR. T. DAWSON, assistant publicity manager of Leyland Motors, Ltd., since 1952 has been appointed deputy publicity manager of the company. He will take a more active part in assisting MR. A. B. CHADWICK, the publicity manager.
MR. MICHAEL PARKINSON has been elected a vice-chairman of Crompton Parkinson, Ltd. MR. J. B. Scorr has become a director. MR. E. C. HOLROYDE has resigned his position as a vicechairman and director at his own request.

MR. E. W. PETITT and MR. W. HAYWARD are now sales representatives in the south of England for Duple Motor Bodies, Ltd. MR. W. J. NEWEY continues as Midland and Welsh sales manager in conjunction with MR. D. KIRKMAN, and MR. V. BOWSER has joined the company to cover the north of England and Scotland.
LORD CHESHAM has become a Joint Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Transport. MR. JOHN HAY, his colleague, held a similar post in the previous Government but was concerned with civil aviation. Now that this is the responsibility of a new Ministry, he will concentrate on questions of road and other surface transport. MR. G. R. H. NucErst, formerly Joint Parliamentary Secretary in the previous administration, has left the Government.
