MORE LETTERS complaining about fuel prices (CM 15 April). Let's be realistic, they are not going to come down, so what steps can we take to reduce how much we use?
For a start, I am always amazed and annoyed at the amount of vehicles I see parked up loading or unloading with their engine still running, and even unattended.
My other beef is the amount of 3.5-tonne vans that are still running around at over 70mph.
One of the benefits of the new Driver CPC will he to make the driver aware of fuel wastage. If we all eventually saved 10% of our fuel, it would make a huge difference, it could even bring the prices down due to lack of demand.
Either way, you as an operator will he paying less!
