Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

B+I LINE has delayed the introduction of its controversial Holyhead/Dublin ro-ro ferry service. until Monday next week, pending negotiations between Sealink UK and its staff.

The service, which was scheduled to begin on March 1 in competition with an existing Sealink service, will provide a four-hour crossing in each direction, once a day, using a 13+1 vessel which would otherwise not be used.

Its planned introduction brought threats of blacking from Sealink staff at its Holyhead terminal, as they fear it will put their jobs at risk. However, in a joint statement issued by both companies, they reaffirmed Sealink's commitment to an "open ports" policy, but left another seven days for consultations with trades unions.

A 13+1 spokesman told CMthat special rates will be available to• commercial vehicle operators using the service, which is timed to leave Holyhead at 4.45pm and Dublin at 11.35am.
