TO bridge the gap between the converted cattle truck andthe de luxe horsebox, J. H. Jennings and Son, Ltd., Sandbacii, has produced a new dual-purpose three-horse box and cattle-truck body. It caters for the needs of the estate owner, farmer and livestock haulier, and the price is about half that of a de luxe body. The chassis is a Bedford 4-toriner.
The Specification follows closely that of the more luxurious models, with stalls for three horses facing the rear, and side and rear ramps having Jennings patented springs. The main differences are in the exterior design, which is less streamlined, and in the use of less-expensive stall upholstery.
The inclusion of tapered wheel-boxes reduces loading height and enables the vehicle to be conveniently used for transporting other animals, such as cows, when the padded stalls have been removed.
