MR. J. W. SHIRLEY has been appointed a director and general manager of Park Royal Vehicles, Ltd.
MR. FRANK GLODE has been elected president of the Quebec Automotive Transport Association, in succession to
MR. URC;EL CHARETTE.
MR. RONALD W. T. BRAY, managing director of W. E. Bray and Co., Ltd., is to tour North America to study manufacturing methods.
MR. A. E. SEARLE has been appointed manager of the transport and depot stocks department of C. C. Wakefield and Co.. Ltd. MR. H. E. C. YOUNG has become assistant manager.
MR. D. MCKENNA, 0.B.E., has been appointed chief commercial and public relations officer of the London Transport Executive. MR. H. W. BROOKSBANK has been promoted to fares and charges officer.
MR. HARRY GRIMSHAW, engineer or the Coventry Group of British Road
Services since 1948. has retired. He began his career with the Maudslay company in 1907 and joined Messrs. John Morton and Sons, of Coventry, in 1937.
MR. A. MOORE has succeeded MR. S. TINDALE as northern divisional manager of the National Benzoic Co., Ltd. MR. D. T. CHADWICK has become assistant manager. MR. P. BRITEN has been appointed Midland divisional assistant manager.
MR. W. T. JAMES, 0.B.E., has resigned his directorship of City of Oxford Motor. Services, Ltd.. because of pressure of business. MR. P. G. STONE CLARK has been elected to the board and has been appointed managing director in succession to Mr. James.
MR. V. R. WA-rrs has been appointed assistant manager of the Bristol division of the National Benzole Co., Ltd., and MR. R. W. BORDOLI has become assistant manager of the Lancashire division. MR. D. Butarsi, formerly Bristol divisional sales representative, has been appointed assistant manager of the South Wales division, and MR. J. LAING has become assistant manager of the southern division.
MR. C. J. Hints-r, 0.B.E.. has resigned his managership of the Hay Mills (Birmingham) Group of the Road Haulage Executive for reasons of ill-health. A founder-member of the Road Haulage Association, he has served on many advisory committees of this and other organizations. He founded Hurst and Payne, Ltd.. in 1919. and was a pioneer operator of oil-engined vehicles in the Midlands.
