MR. C. J. Hints-r, 0.B.E.. has resigned his managership of the Hay Mills (Birmingham) Group of the Road Haulage Executive for reasons of ill-health. A founder-member of the Road Haulage Association, he has served on many advisory committees of this and other organizations. He founded Hurst and Payne, Ltd.. in 1919. and was a pioneer operator of oil-engined vehicles in the Midlands.
