Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

by Herren Hayes • Six Allen Munro drivers are set to enter pleas for a number of alleged falsification of tachographs and driver records offences when they appear at Ormskirk magistrates court this week.

The six drivers are to face the new allegations after having 34 hours and

tachograph offences against them and five other drivers thrown out by Ormskirk magistrates because they were issued incorrectly (CM 16-22 May).

The fresh summonses were issued against the six drivers at a previous hearing in May, and magistrates must decide whether they can deal with them or if they should go to Crown Court.

The case follows a joint police and Department of Transport raid on the company's Skelmersdale depot for offences which are said to have been committed between August and October 1995.

Vehicle Inspectorate solicitors also expect summonses against a further five Munro drivers on similar allegations to be issued this week and for them to appear at a future date.
