TRANSPORT SECRETARY Norman Fowler tops the bill at this year's slirnline Freight Transport Association conference in London on September 17.
Mr Fowler will be the lunch speaker at the Wembley Conference Centre, and his appearance will be sandwiched in the middle of that orat least four industry speakers on a general theme, that of "Efficiency for the Eighties".
The other speakers include Dunlop chairman Sir Campbell Fraser, talking on industry's needs for distribution, ICI Netherlands' Job Onderdelinden on European thinking on transport and distribution management, United Biscuits' Alan West on the United Kingdom view of the same subject, and the Institute of Personnel Management's Bob Ramsey on industrial relations.
The one-day conference costs E45 including vat, and is restricted to FTA members,
