THE GROCOTT Group has sold part of its general and international haulage business, enabling it to develop its expanding storage and distribution activities under the name of Boughey-Distribution Ltd.
The part of the business which was sold was based at Prees, Shropshire. Boughey-Distribution Ltd will continue to run its distribution and warehousing operation from a 26-acre complex near Nantwich, Cheshire.
Boughey has increased its distribution service by increasing its fleet of articulated and rigid vehicles to 55. A further £0.5m has been spent on extending its warehouse capacity to 250,000 sq ft.
The company provides a nationwide direct delivery service for a range of human foods and animal feedstuffs. It also runs a specialist bulk milk collection service on behalf of the Milk Marketing Board.
