• A Wicklow operator, Mr. N. Gargan, is due to take delivery any day now of what is believed to be the first Japanese tipper to enter service in Ireland or the U.K. A Hine KA300 15ft 9in. wheelbase machine, it has Edbro model 4LNS twin-ram front-end tipping gear fitted in Dublin by Griffith J. Roberts Ltd., who also built the 18 cu.yd. steel double-dropside body with grain hatch at the rear.
The KA300 Chassis, which is distributed in the Irish Republic and the UK by J. Harris lAssemblers) Ltd.. Dublin, has a 195 bhp diesel engine, a two-speed rear axle, power steering and exhaust brakes.
