The Department for Education and Employment (DfEE) has launched a six-month pilot of a business-led online forum (at www.business.dfee.gov.uk). The aim of the service is to increase support for small businesses entering the world of e-commerce. It will enable firms with fewer than 250 employees to share ideas with businesses across the UK. The DfEE also plans to allow small companies investing in computers, e-commerce or new IT to write off the full cost in the year of purchase.
