• Production has reached record levels at Leyland Truck's factory near Preston in Lancashire. The plant is turning out 65 units a day and has taken on 180 new employees to keep up this high output.
Demand is coming from Daf for 45 and 55 Series trucks, and from Foden, which transferred
heavy truck production to the Preston factory The 65 Series, previously built at Foden's factory, is also now solely ?mitt at the Leyland plant,
