• Up to 20 council workers at Melton Borough Council face redundancy following AAH Tyler's successful bid for the local authority refuse collection deal.
The AAH Holdings' environmental services subsidiary fought off competition from an in-house bid by the workforce for the £290,000 five-year contract. The council's five vehicles will be taken over by AAH, which has also won a £380,000 contract with Tonbridge and Malting Council for four years.
