GENERAL MOTORS' UK service parts operation is offering a range of exchange engines for front-wheel-drive GM light vans and cars. GMX exchange engines are available through all UK GM van and car dealers, and are covered by a 12month/12,000-mile warranty on parts and labour.
The exchange engines are remanufactured to the original manufacturer's specification, with 40 per cent of all components, including bearings, seals, pistons and valve springs, replaced by new items.
The GMX range comprises 25 exchange units from onelitre to LB-litres and includes petrol and diesel engines.
Price for a GMX 1.3-litre petrol engine for an Astra van is £399 plus vat, while a 1.6litre petrol engine is priced at £449 plus vat. A 1.6-litre Astra van diesel unit is £1,000 plus vat.
