• A deficit of £3.5m in 1973-4 will result, says the new Glasgow PTA, if Traffic Commissioners reject a fare application to replace the current fare structure of 4p, 7p and 9p with fares of 5p, 9p and 11p. The increase, if granted, would be introduced in the autumn and produce £2.2m in a full year.
